Paris, Disney, and Christmas all in one place, yes please! From mid-November through early January, the park transforms into a winter wonderland complete with Christmas Parades, festive treats, holiday shows, and Characters dressed in their best holiday attire. In this guide we will go over everything you need to know about visiting Disney Paris at Christmas time,
The truth is when I first visited Paris in November, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take time away from exploring the city to go to the Disney Parks. Personally I have been to Disney World many times, and knowing that Disneyland is much smaller, I wasn’t sure If it would be worth it. However, after spending 3 nights and 2 full days at Disney Land Paris, I am glad that I chose to go. Disney Paris knows how to celebrate Christmas, and I left the parks feeling the magic.
When to Visit
Christmas is The busiest season for the Disney Parks. The celebrations start Mid November and last thru January, with the busiest time being Christmas Week thru New Years. If you are looking for lower crowds and cheaper prices, consider going Mid November thru Early December. Note that it is still busy at this time, it’s just less busy. My daughter and I visited Disney Paris Mid November and the popular rides had lines up to 2 hours long and some of the less popular rides you could walk on to.
Things to Do
- Disney’s Christmas Parade: This parade has a way of making you feel the magic of Christmas. I absolutely loved the parade, and watched it 3 times with no regrets. The parade runs twice a night, weather permitting.

- Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights: Before heading back to your hotel be sure to watch the light show that is projected on the castle. It features Christmas tunes and beloved Disney classics. It’s a heartwarming spectacle that is the perfect end to the day.

- Holiday Shows: The Christmas festivities are in full swing. You will find lots of shows and celebrations during your visit and you don’t want to miss it. My favorite show was the (Let’s sing Christmas) at videopolis theater. Watching this show definitely made me feel the Christmas Charm that is in Paris.

Characters in Holiday Attire: It’s really exciting to see characters in their festive outfits. Throughout the park you find Mickey Mouse, Jack skeleton, Stitch, Disney Princesses, and much more. Be sure to check out the app, to know where to meet them at, and what time

Holiday Treats: Delight your taste buds by enjoying some Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and seasonal pastries available at various stands and restaurants throughout the park.

Essential Planning Tips
- Book Early: hotels and restaurants fill up months in advance. You can start making dining reservations 2 months prior to your arrival. Since the most popular restaurants will fill up right away, you want to book them as soon as they become available.
- Download the App: Having the app is essential to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the Christmas fun
- Consider Premiere Access: Buying this pass lets you skip the lines for the majority of the rides one time. While it is expensive it can be worth it if you are visiting on one of the busiest days or are only there for one or two days and want to get a lot done.
- Dress for the Weather: Paris can be chilly in December, and rainy in November. So dress accordingly. It rained a majority of the time we were at Disney Paris, and I definitely wish I would have brought some rain boots and a poncho.
Conclusion
Visiting Disneyland Paris at Christmas is a truly unforgettable experience. It combines the spirit of Christmas with the magic of Disney and a touch of European Charm. While it requires a decent budget to visit, the memories will last forever. So pack your bags, grab your Mickey ears, and get ready to create some memories with your loved ones.
